Facebook Insights is a great tool to help you understand how your content is resonating with your audience and how your page is growing. The Facebook Insights tool is also constantly updated to reflect your page’s developments and any patterns that may form, providing you with a great overview of how your Facebook strategy is performing. With so many different data-points available to measure such as Likes, engagement, reach, and demographics, you’ll be able to determine the best time of day to post, the best day of the week to post, and what type of content is most popular.

To access Facebook Insights, you'll need to go onto your business page. Click on "Insights," located on the sidebar to the left of the page. You'll land on the "Overview" page which features a dashboard with information on any given day about your most recent posts, Facebook likes, reach, actions on page, the gender and age of your audience, and much, much more. It may look overwhelming, but it is easy to navigate.

An important thing you can learn from Facebook Insights is what type of content is likely to go viral. With the data collected form Facebook Insights
you’ll be able to see your latest Facebook posts and learn about their reach and engagement. Reach is the number of people who saw any content from your page or about your page. Facebook engagement is any action taken on your posts. A common example being likes, comments, shares, saves, viewing a video or clicking on a link.

A useful feature Facebook Insights offer is sorting the posts based on the date the post was made, the title of the post, the type of post, who it targeted, reach, and engagement. Overall, gaining a ton of useful knowledge about your post behaviour and knowing the reaction to different types of Facebook posts gives you the knowledge to create more content that your followers like, which will then increase your branding, reach, and hopefully drive traffic to your website.

By monitoring your likes, you can go beyond just knowing the number of likes your page has. It shows you the growth, averages, sources and you’ll also be able to see the demographics, age and the locations of your followers. Allowing you to target that age group more specifically when creating content.
Another great feature on Facebook Insights is check-ins. Check-in data can be useful and extremely valuable for companies that have a physical location. Followers that ‘check-in’ when they arrive at your business show their loyalty to you. You’ll be able to monitor the number of people who have checked in at your location, where they live and whether they are male or female, etc.

The Actions tab allows you to understand what people do when they are on your Page. The actions Facebook consider are clicking to get directions, clicking on your phone number, clicking on your website and finally click on your action button.

After reading all this, you should now understand that your Facebook Insights hold so much information about your page's performance and your audience. If you use that data, you can create better content and generate more revenue for your brand.
